Earnestly Ashland

My girlfriends and I just returned from the beautiful, very Shakespearean, Ashland, Oregon from witnessing a WONDEROUS adaption of Oscar Wilde's comedy, The Importance of Being Earnest. It was a wet and snowy trip up, but we enjoyed yummy, natural iced cream when we got there (in the spirit of the state I was now in, I chose a very unique Oregonian flavor--Rogue River Pear *mmmmm!*), so it was worth it. :) We of course did not forget the the famous bead shop or the Shakepearean costume displays (my suitemate actually pointed one out to me that was worn by the character Olivia in Twelfth Night--so obviously I HAD to snap a picture of me with it!), either. All-in-all it was a great time. Friends, fun, food, and . . . comedy. Oh! How could I forget that it was also a break from homework. What more could'ya ask for? ;) Here's to an earnestly awaited trip!

(Oh, and just so you know, only 26 more days 'til graduation . . .)

And did you also try some of that horrible "Lithy" water from the fountains in the public squares?

I stuck to good old bottled water! :D

Ahh, then you didn't have a complete "Ashland" experience. There are a few fountains in the public square which have water unique to that area--it's naturally carbonated from the ground. Apparently, the people who grow up in Ashland LOVE it, but I thought it was pretty nasty.
